The Bram Fischer Civic Centre is a prominent landmark in the Free State Capitol. Since completion in 1992 the local municipality has seen many political and other changes. After merging with surrounding regional municipalities, it became the Mangaung Metro in 2012. Staff had to be deployed in buildings all over the city as office space couldn’t be provided in a single building.
While serving on the Panel of Professional Experts, we have been tasked to prepare a suitable design for the conversion of the double volume 8th floor restaurant and kitchen into offices and a board room, by adding a mezzanine floor.
