Stadium Drive Through Restaurant

Situated on one of Bloemfontein’s main access routes, the site’s location is ideal for this type of fast food business. The project consists of a drive through facility that offers a wide variety of fast food on the go, with covered order and collection points on opposite sides of the building. The drive around time from order point to collection point should be in the region of 3 to 5 minutes. The kitchen lay-out is specifically designed for the shortest possible production lines to expedite drive through orders. The sit-in restaurant can also comfortably accommodate 80 seated people in various configurations, while normal walk-in customers will be served at the take-away counter. Ample parking will be available with lemon trees providing shade for cars and fresh fruit to the restaurant kitchen.

Two accesses will be provided. From the north via a slipway, one can enter the drive through lane, or use the pass through lane to other premises further down, or to park in the parking lot, or exit into Curie Avenue. From the south, the existing access will be widened to accommodate a specific drive through lane, with the option to park in the parking lot.

The building will be powered by 3-phase electricity to the kitchen, backed up by LP Gas supply and a generator to allow continuous operation during power outs. All lighting will be low energy LED type, while all hot water heating will be via solar energy. A 2500 liter fresh water reservoir will ensure filtered potable water flow during water shut off periods. Estimated project cost = R 8 Million. Estimated completion = August 2019.
